Kudos to Supervisor Nadia Davis Lockyer for admitting and facing her problems. Mental health issues, including substance abuse, do not discriminate on whom they touch.
I hope she gets well soon from her injuries, and has a successful road to recovery.
I also hope Mary Hayashi will learn from Nadia, and also acknowledge her shoplifting compulsion (assuming, as I do, that she’s not a common thief) and seek treatment.
