Director of Parent Services, Children’s Council of San Francisco/Parent
The San Lorenzo Unified School District needs a new school board member committed to our students, families, educators, and school community to ensure a successful education for our students! I am running for School Board because I ardently believe that parents can and should be involved in decision-making processes, have 15 years of experience working with families and children, and hold the appropriate credentials for this position. As a mother of three children currently in elementary, middle, and high schools in the SLZUSD, I can personally attest to the power that a high-level quality education has on our young children and am committed to thinking deeply about the impact upon our children and families, of any decision being made.
I work as a Director of Parent Services in a nonprofit organization in San Francisco, sit on a statewide board and national committees focused on early care and education (ECE), and am dedicated to supporting children and families gain access to quality ECE. I earned a BA from UC Berkeley, masters in educational leadership from Mills College, and am currently a doctoral candidate in educational leadership.
I look forward to making SLZUSD the school district our community deserves.
