I am asking for your vote to help improve AC Transit service in our community. With
your support I would be able to provide my over thirty years of professional experience
in public transit/transportation. I have served as Chief Financial Officer for two major
California transit systems, and as a Consultant/Advisor to various transit systems
throughout the United States. I have hands-on real world experience, having developed
and managed budgets for transit systems. I’m uniquely familiar with the many service
issues and funding challenges facing public transit in addition to having a proven track
record of innovation, and implementing practical solutions/strategies that have lead to
additional funding. I was awarded the Federal Transit Administration “Administrator’s
Award for Innovative Finance”. My national public transit experience and contacts
can help to bring “Best Practices” to AC Transit. I believe that public transit is a key
component to the quality of life in our community, impacting our economic vitality,
employment, mobility, and the environment. Growing up in the East Bay, AC Transit
was my family’s primary mode of transportation. I hold a BS in Administration, and a
Masters in Public Administration. My skills, experience and commitment can make a
